Our group has been running for 16 years but recently we have welcomed several new members and had a change of leadership. We read a different book each month. We choose these books at the beginning of the academic year, with each member selecting a title that he or she has enjoyed, or would like to read. Each member will introduce his or her choice at the relevant meeting. We continue to meet in each other’s houses on the third Friday of each month, and the venue will usually be decided at the previous meeting.
Members borrow books from the library, purchase them, or download them to their kindles. We have decided to approach the library to see if they can help us with book sets in the future.
We all have different tastes and opinions, and this makes for lively discussions at our meetings.
At the present time our group is at capacity with nine members. As there are two on the waiting list I would behappy to support anyone who might like to start another group. Just get in touch using the group leader blue link above.
